I have a standard bumper, would like to mount two basic lights (amber) to supplement the factory fogs (OBX Lux).

Most off reading I will do is forest roads, really don’t need winch mounts, more clearance, etc and seems silly to spend money to replace the bumper just for bolt on m

Anyone done this? Thoughts?

Do you have the modular bumper or capable bumper?

That’s known as the capable bumper, I had the same one on my black diamond before upgrading. I suppose you could do it but I’m not aware of anyone who has. The modular bumper seems like it would be easier to drill holes in.

My sticker doesn’t say anything about an optional bumper and my understanding was the “Capable” is this one with tow hooks

Yep you’re right, haven’t looked at my capable bumper sitting in my garage in awhile. Forgot about the recovery shackles on the capable bumper. Not sure how drilling holes in yours would workout, but only one way to find out

Pop the two caps off. Only 6 bolts hold it on. (I did this to remove crash bars) With it off you can bolt on using a nut and washer on the back side.

I have a standard bumper in pieces in my basement form a mod bumper swap. Let me know if you need any pictures. Just pm me.
Seems like swapping the stock lights with amber ones would be easier.

I have the capable bumper but I think the bar would work on a standard bumper too but can't be certain.

Correct, Capable is Metal, I have on waiting to go on my bronco now. The bumpers are Plastic, Capable Metal and Heavy Duty Modular. You can drill into the plastic one but the mounting surface will remain flexible and the lights will wobble.

I have the capable as well. That bar looks great. Mind sharing a link to it?

You could also just replace the OEM fog lights with white and or amber LEDs. I got the M&R LEDs and combined both. The install is simple, they're super bright and the price is right. I also added the 40" amber light bar after the fact and it's awesome.
