Look at the bottom hinge on the rear door I'll bet you find your culprit. That looks like a perfect place and length for the hinge to have scraped the paint when trying to take off or install the door. Who did? Not going to speculate but that type of scratch would be consistent with my theory.

Phoenix.

They throw one HELL of a concert for the type of music it is. It was one of my all time favorites. I was front row and slightly to the right.. Couldn't ask for a better night, other than I was worried sick about the Bronco the entire time. God, cities really are TERRIBLE these days.
I bet it was fun. Closest for me would have been OK City. Now he's headed to CA then overseas.

Yea you were pretty much right downtown PHX, I'd have been worried about my Bronco too. My mom is up in Deer Valley and is always tellin' me about stuff going on down there.

The OP’s Bronco wasn’t keyed. He later learned that the scratch was made by a hinge on the rear door when someone clumsily removed the door.

@BL2.7SAS4DR, you should update the thread title and opening post.

The first door I tried to remove as carefully as possible scratched the paint. I couldn't see the hinge well and the weight was awkward at first. I bought a touch up kit, covered the scratch and added some ppf tape over that area. It does seem plausible that it was an accident by someone. But I feel bad for you regardless of how it happened.
That’s actually a pretty good pro-tip for new or future Bronco owners. Add that ppf tape you speak of in the offending area before attempting to remove the doors for the first time.

I can't figure it out either. I'm going to see if my insurance will cover it since it goes to the body.
Yeah your insurance should cover it, as someone who had a crazy girl key my car with misspelled obscene word, my insurance covered it. What's weird it to me it looks like a bondo Crack under the paint. Not trying to add more stress, it's just weird

This thread brings to mind one of my favorite 80’s movies - Robocop! Hey Ford, how much extra for the MagnaVolt security system?

If I was going out of my way to mess up someone else's ride I'm going to make it obvious. That is just a weird spot to key a vehicle. And to do it vertical.
