Got bored and logged into my account on Ford site and noticed a Pre Approval from Ford Credit on there. Anyone else one else see these yet? Sorry if this is a repost.

I followed you and logged in and had an approval as well. Considering I have never used Ford credit or purchased a Ford I was shocked both by the approval and the amount approved for...

Somewhere in some computer there is a Venn diagram with circles for:

1. People who are likely to want a car.
2. People who are likely to take out a loan
3. People who they have credit score information for

Ford financial paid some amount of money for the list of people that fall in the middle of all those circles, and applied it to their list of people who have Ford.com accounts.

I'm sure it's not any more interesting than someone just throwing spaghetti at the wall.
