Anyone else have a burning smell when remote starting?

I dunno if it's only when remote starting, but again this morning, -15 degrees auto so I remote started...headed out to the driveway 3 or 5 minutes later, and you definitely smell a rancid burning smell inside and out.
Very disconcerting...
I'll have to let it idle stationary for awhile to see if I can replicate it and source it.

Did you check for coolant hoses and wiring harness rubbing on the belt under the hood?

2.3L. Only happens when sitting or starting from cold.

Can you locate a rough area where it’s strongest? Do you have a hitch?

There have been discussions that it’s cooking off some process oils/materials in the area of the muffler. Since the bin storage in the rear isn’t air tight and right above that this fuming can make ingress into the cabin

No hitch...I'll have to try tomorrow and see if I can narrow it down. Have over 3000km on it now. It definitely didn't do this when it was new.

Wondering if it’s the seats as well. Have the same problem using remote start with the heater and seats coming on

I had the same smell only when first driving it. Not sure if it works itself out after putting a few miles on the Bronco.
