What?

No, I mean you said 800 lbs greater payload on the Jeep than the Bronco, but I don't see that number anywhere in the article...

1160lb payload for the 4dr rubicon is 210lbs LESS than the stated payload for the Bronco (according to that article).

I'm so confused.
Maybe it came out wrong. I was saying if the JLU rubicon payload is 1160lb and the Bronco 4dr BL is around 800lbs thats 35%+ more payload in the jeep.

What do you guys plan on hauling on a regular basis? The Bronco is primarily a people mover, not a hauler. For me, 95% of the time, it's just gonna be me.

You're coming out clear. My point is where are you getting the Bronco's payload is around 800lbs?

The quoted article states:

Payload ratings do vary between two- and four-door Broncos, however. Two-door models feature a max payload capacity of 1,170 pounds, while four-door models can carry up to 1,370 pounds.
Is your 800 based on the blurry pics of the sticker on the pre-production model?

::EDIT::

Lol. Here's the sticker on my 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

I think it is the lack of knowing that is really bothering people more than anything.
I am not terribly concerned about capacities., but I might like to maximize them, which is difficult with so little info available a week before ordering opens.
This. The 'range' of curb weights that varies by 600lbs isn't informative. Specifics, I need specifics. Details are important, the devil is in the details.

Having said that, even if the payload in practice causes squat in the rearend (and that is where people will notice it), aftermarket will provide stiffer rear coils PDQ. The angst about insurance liability and warranty concerns is overblown. If you want it, get it.

Based on Ford’s curb weight range on their site and going off the heaviest trim being FE and working my way down to BL. I figure a 4dr BL w/ the 2.7 is going to fall into the 5200-5250 curb weight range. And if Ford is sticking with class 1 GVWR of <6000, well thats where Im getting the payload estimation from.

poster earlier put a spreadsheet together as well backing out numbers.

But then I just went to jeep’s site, 4dr rubicon shows payload of 1,351 so who the heck knows at this point.

The jeep’s GCWR is higher than Bronco published numbers.

I am all in on a Bronco. I am contemplating pushing purchasing one until I can order the color match top. Not sure yet. As for loading and hauling, I am thinking about a F150 Tremor for my wife so I can borrow it to take on hunting trips. ;) I like to take everything but the kitchen sink. Never know when you will need a chain saw or tools in the middle of the Rockies.

This is going to be a serious issue for me. I had planned on taking your mom out for some Sunday morning drives.

Didn't make me reconsider my build, but it strengthened my decision on getting the BB. I don't need the armor, but I do need max payload. A family of 5 on vacation and towing a camper is going to push the Bronco to its limits with both payload and towing capacity, but I'm not giving up!

LMAO. Good luck. Even if you can make payload, you probably won't make GCWR...

The outlaw in me says just load up and go.
Right?!? I can't be the only person that regularly moved a yard of stone or over a yard of mulch in a half-ton 90s pickup. Air up the tires and have at it!
