@Brullitt Do you like the optional Badlands wheels because the beauty ring is carbonized gray? You can always just paint or powder coat them. I had my silver rings painted carbonized gray to match the grill and top. Also, this was touched on but the Goodyears are Maximum Traction. These are aggressive all terrain tires essentially. In Cleveland they’ve handled everything just fine. They attracts rocks like a moth to a flame though.

Yes, the carbonized grey is a big draw on the ring. I like the wheel spokes better on the optionals as well, but seeing the SAS wheels here with carbonized grey, it looks great. Also have read about bolt thread issues removing the beauty rings, so I'm hesitant to mess with those. Any issues on yours?

I have a Badlands Sasquatch take offs on my non SAS OBX with 33’s. It looks fine and and I’m currently getting 20mpg with 2.3 auto. Mostly paved roads.

Glad to hear you're getting 20 mpg! That's encouraging.

None at all. I did mine by hand using a long wrench.
-Go slow and steady and make sure the bit is seated the entire time. It’s time consuming but slow and steady is the secret.
-Do not use an impact gun.
-Put a small about of anti seize on each bolt before reapplying the rings
-make sure to align the tire valve cutouts on the rings with the valves on the tire. This is a big one or else you’ll be kicking yourself later

If you stay on boost you will not get 20mpg. This is around town and some highway. Long trips at higher speed it doesn’t do as well on mpg. Managing boost is key to mpg.

If a 35 isn't really a 35 then is a 33 really a 33?

Well actually it depends, to know for sure you kind of have to look into each maker actual size for a given tire. Let's just say there is variance and what seems like outright fibbing by some makers.

Stock Sas tire is not even rated 35", it calculates to 34.4". Anyone know the actual measured diameter? You can buy a manufacturer's 33" tire that is close to 33", or maybe even slightly larger. So yeah, a 33" tire could be 33", while a 35" tire could be closer to 34".

Wheels and tires certainly make a difference. Here's a non-sasquatch OBX running:

stock OBX suspension and stock wheels/tires.

Badlands suspension and Black Diamond wheels/tires.

Ford Bronco Anyone have 33" tires on a Sasquatch? IMG_20220910_181104

Badlands suspension and RTR 17x9 +30 and 33.5" tires.

Totally changes the stance, lift changed 1/2 from OBX to Badlands (much like non-sasquatch to sasquatch) and tires changed about an inch.

Shhh, don't let my Bronco know... 76.5 MPH average speed over 306 miles of Texas Hill County (including stops).

Just saying. Wheels, tires, and exhaust seem to be a big factor.

I have a BL Sas that will be delivered hopefully next week. I really like the BL optional wheels, but those weren't available with sas. Debating picking up a set of BL optional takeoffs, and could switch the tires around, but I wondered thoughts on sticking with the 33" all terrains versus putting the 35" mud tires on. Point is- wondered if anyone has 33" tires on a SAS rig? Photos appreciated.
From what I've read, the sas isn't a huge difference in stance, basically just asking for a sanity check that I won't put 33's on and go "oh, I didn't think of that... it looks terrible."
Sarah-n- tuned upgraded her 2 door black diamond with 6100 bilsteins, Sasquatch coils, and 33inch tires.

Thank God they don't make calipers that big or some of y'all would be out in a parking lot measuring tires to the hundred thousandth.

Thats impressive. A 2.7 may actually get better mpg at speed because it’s using less boost, one would assume. I need to do a new test with my stock bumper back on at those speeds for comparison. I think the aftermarket bumper also drastically affected airflow in my Highway test. What tires and exhaust are you running? I have Nitto Terra Grapp’s in 275/70/18.

Best mileage to date was achieved with stock OBX rims and tires with the Flowmaster High Clearance Axle Back exhaust.

I did want to build and try an air dam across the lower front for highway use, I suspect that it would improve mileage considerably (along with a flat bottom skid plate).

If done proper, I know it would. I pulled the stock bumper and it totally dirtied up the airflow with aftermarket winch bumper. I have the stock bumper now with hidden winch. I get you on the tires, the OBX Bridgestone Duelers roll great. Just a tad small and weak looking.

not only weak looking, ripped right through a sidewall with my lift... LOL 😂

Ya, they roll great, but they are thin and weak.

Well it's a thread on tire size but ... carry on. 🙄

Oh, they do. But most people can’t read them because they have to read a venier and not digital or dial.

That being said, they probably have them now but I no longer look!
