Just curious if other bronco owners are having problems with reception on their satellite radio?

Mywife has SiriusXM in her Subaru and it almost never loses the radio signal. But my bronco loses the signal for a few seconds all the time even when I am not driving near tall trees or powerlines.

The antenna appears to be securely attached and it is not damaged. Just curious if this is a common occurrence with Broncos or whether I should have this checked out by the dealer.

The whip antenna is not the XM antenna, in case you weren’t aware. It is a fairly common occurrence that has been discussed a fair amount in the past. The XM antenna is mounted on the top rear roll bar, under the roof panel.

Can't you do a reset online? It might be worth checking out.

Drops out much more than anything I've owned with SXM, really no point in renewing the subscription with this issue.

Yeah it's pretty bad. If I'm around tall buildings or trees, forget about it. Mine just expired and they gave me a 3 month extension, after that I'm probably done.

It's terrible! And I can't find the compact disk player either, must be on the Lux package. What am I supposed to do with all my Ace Of Base CD's now Ford?!

XM was notorious for that from day one.

Dropouts and it constantly reverts back to the the preview channel.

It’s the roof rack compounded by the other xm problems mentioned here. The aluminum crossbar is directly over the xm antenna. It is documented by ford somewhere. Maybe an asterisk In the build and price, can’t really remember.

Actually didn't know that, and I probably should have done a search before making my post. I did it from my iPhone because I was getting so irritated with the dropout when driving today.

Looking at the other comments, I probably won't renew when the trial is up. The quality of service is way worse than my wife's 2013 Outback.

I also couldn't find the AUX input so I could connect my 1st gen iPod to the Bronco either. Really irritating that Ford doesn't support legacy technology...

I downloaded the SXM app onto my phone and bluetooth the stations through that. Never drops out, unless I lose cell signal.

I'm going to extend the contract beyond the trial and leave it be. I subscribe to YouTube Music which I'll drop and use the app when not in the vehicle. With the military discount, it will cost $3/month more than my YT Music service.

But that means having to futz with your phone while driving to change channels.
