I am leaning the same way.I've decided, if I get pushed to '23, there is no Bronco in my future.
However, since I am not in immediate need of a new ride if I go the 4-runner direction I would wait until the 2023 model is available.I am leaning the same way.
Problem is, the way Ford is handling all this, we won't know we've been pushed to 2023 until like November of 2022... And then you're just a "couple months" away... Until the next emailI've decided, if I get pushed to '23, there is no Bronco in my future.
Yeah, nice how they buried that little tidbit among all the other "FAQs."Clicking through the FAQ, I found the following;
Can I update my order after the order bank is closed?
Yes, you can update your order up until your Bronco gets scheduled for production. Changing your series, equipment package, number of doors, or 4x4 system will cause your order to update with new mid-year price levels.
Does this mean if you want to add the the new HOSS 3 package to your WildTrak you can say bye bye to 2021 Price Protection? I assume so. That is a bullshit move on Ford's part!
Totally with you... I ordered the new 8cyl Defender.... so we'll see which one makes it first!Fully agree with you. Very unhappy. Just ordered a Defender 90. Land Rover is say 6-8 months. They have used ones on the lot but cost more than they would new. Dealer is doing no mark up. I'll be driving what ever comes in first. Sick of waiting.
totally agree... if we get into 2022 4th quarter, I'm going to assume the "game is over for me". I'm no longer going to put off my "adventure" plans waiting for a vehicle. Actually, I've already purchased a Silverado 4x4 ZR1 which meets many other requirements in the family that the Bronco wasn't going to be able to satisfy anyway. So, although it is a much different experience, we are no longer hanging our plans on what we now refer to in our house as the arrival of the "unicorn".Problem is, the way Ford is handling all this, we won't know we've been pushed to 2023 until like November of 2022...
