Anyone Paint Matched their Door Handles?

I bought handles from my dealer for about $60 each, then paid $200 to have them painted along with mirror caps and the front bronco grille letters. Whoever told you $1k is crazy

Damn the handles and mirror caps look great! I think I'm going to order mine, but how do I know if my handles have smartkey/proximity sensors?

Thx! If your driver, pass, and tailgate has the little rectangular “lock” button then you have the sensors. And the mirror caps can have differences too depending on lights and cameras (for the 360 camera)….

all the original stuff is molded black plastic……they changed to that on the 22 wildtraks

I didn’t mess with it, I had a tech that I am friends with do it….I was too afraid I would break something

Now only for the fender flares! I took my truck by a paint shop and they said it has to be slick texture to get a similar output as the factory.

I'm definitely going to do painted handles and mirror caps on my 2022 WT. (came stock with the gray plastic / MIC).

What I'm unclear on, is whether people are removing / painting / re-installing the existing MIC handles and mirror caps, or, do you need to buy a DIFFERENT handle/cap (different Ford PNs) that are made of a different material that is more suitable, for painting?

Yes there are different part numbers for smooth and reg mic parts. The smooth ones are for painting.

Thanks! This is what I suspected. I was searching the site to see if anyone had yet compiled the ford PNs for the needed (paintable) mirror caps and handles.
