Does anyone plan to apply ceramic coating to their Bronco? I'm going with that over PPF and wanted to know how folks think it will stand up to trail abuse.
I'm told most pinstriping should buff out as well as look awesome for years šŸ‘Œ
Look at the new Lumar Valor PPF. Best of both worlds.

LLumarĀ® Valor paint protection film gives you the self-healing protection of premium PPF with a ceramic-style finish in a single product. An ultra-glossy finish that repels so much dirt and water, it practically cleans itselfā€”thatā€™s called hydrophobicity.

I just bought a bottle of the highly rated Turtle Wax Hybrid Ceramic spray-on coating for $15. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07XYPS3PS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_GRYRFRZVWM86WX6BPDJQ

Super easy to apply and lasts up to a year. I can verify it sheds water and snow like crazy. It doesnā€™t last as long as the professionally installed products but is a way better value and all I need.

Also bought pre-cut Xpel ppf kits for the door edges, door handle cups, door sills, and rockers. Pretty easy to apply after watching a couple of videos and less than $150.

I have SystemX on the glass and couldnā€™t be happier. It just stays clean all of the time. Prior to that the windshield was a mess with bug splatter & dirt.

XPEL on the rest. But, be careful. Some of the ceramic coatings are having bad reactions on the plastics.

Notice the whiting effect below. To be honest, weā€™re not sure what the issue was. If it was the XPEL product itself or the fact that I hastily used Last Coat CeraTrim on the plastics before making the choice to go full ceramic. Also, the dealer put some bullsh*t 360 Shield spray protectant on the entire vehicle. Combination? Not entirely sure. My detailer used Purple Power to strip it and tons of elbow grease. Didnā€™t really help. In the end, after discussing with The Last Coat and XPEL I reapplied CeraTrim and itā€™s holding up well.

After reapplying CeraTrim:

Me too! I bought my Xpel PPF kits from DRIVE PROTECTED from Canada, who have cheaper prices....it's in Canadian money (strong US Dollar)! I bought the door handle cups and the A-Pillar from them. From Amazon, I bought the 6" wide PPF and used that for my door sills, which I was able to wrap from the interior door trim to under the rocker panels for max coverage. I bought the headlight kit from Xpel, which were tough to apply, it's not perfect, but they're on. I hoping to buy some 9" PPF in bulk from Xpel for the lower portion of the doors. After all of that, I would love to add a ceramic coating!

I put Xpel ppf on my Bronco. The value has shown up in preventing rock chips to the front fenders, hood and windshield frame. Iā€™ve taken several hard pops from rocks and it nicked, but did not penetrate to the paint. The ppf is also self healing. With time in the sun, it will reconfigure and close the ppf wound. That is something that wax and ceramic coating will not do or prevent. Just my 2 cents.
