*Spoiler alert, nothing we can do about the seatbelt

Ok so opened it up and this is what I found. All the noise is coming from under this plastic cover.

Ford Bronco Anyone solve the seatbelt rattle? Lined interior with Killmat sound deadening mat 53A51932-37E4-4A3E-B5EB-951386618268

On the cover you’ll see this captive steel ball that can move around on its own and I believe is what locks the belt when you brake hard. I saw another video of someone putting grease in there but worried it’ll restrict the ball movement too much.

The plastic cover sits over this area, the second place that’s making noise is the little black piece in here that engages with the teeth on the spool for the belt.

You can literally shake the seatbelt around and hear this little piece bounce all around. It’s really thin and light, don’t think we can do anything about that either.

So since we can’t modify any of that crap I decided to put killmat on as much of it as I could in an attempt to reduce the vibration or absorb the sound.

Doubled up on the side that has the plastic cover.

Gonna add more to the cavity behind the seatbelt and then put it back on. Hopefully it’ll at least quiet it down some. Kinda sucks that we can’t do anything else.

I’m only hearing two rattles now. One sounds like it’s behind the sub enclosure so I think I’m going to take the enclosure off tomorrow and add Killmat behind that, but the second one is the stupid passenger side seatbelt. I know a lot of other people were having the same problem, did anyone figure out how to fix it or are we just SOL?
HOW ABOUT A $25 SEATBELT RETENTION CLIP....

Great post. I had the exact same findings. Those seatbelt internals are causing the remaining rattling from my B&O sub. I also have not been able to stop it.

Everyone should go to dealer and claim an issue with seatbelt. Eventually they might have to replace/redesign or come up with some fix.

Those wouldn't stay attached to my interior panels.
Why so. There is some amazing double sided tape with adhesive promoter used beforehand. I have the door handle inserts and theme sob’s are stuck!

No idea. I even cleaned off the original tape and put on 3M VHB tape and they still came off. 🤷‍♂️

unfortunately my seatbelt retention buckles from stickerfab didn’t last long. They lasted maybe all of a week. The 3m product they use to stick on is awful. I wrote to stickerfab on social media and email, I got no response so I ended up taking the double sided 3M off and got a thicker one with some marine glue and put them on. So far they’ve worked.

So I knocked out the rear cargo area today, first time ever doing this but I think it came out pretty good. I’m only hearing two rattles now. Seems like a lot of work to deal with a seatbelt rattle. I think the easier solution would be just keep them buckled up at all times?

My rear rattles so bad I just pluged it into the connector. So, a giant invisible nobody is buckled in, but at least it's not rattling against the sidewall.
I used Velcro strips and strapped it to the roll cage.
