Has anyone taken there soft top through a car wash, or is that taboo

Squatched or no? My concern is the wider flares.....may not be justified.I have, but I'm not intending to make a habit of it. The brushes appeared to have done nothing to the soft top except restore it back to looking amazing, and the vinyl windows just the same. That being said, the brushes looked like melamine (think magic eraser) to me so I'm not going to do it again. The air blowers/dryers at the end actually seemed to be the most intrusive. The actual manual says to hand wash only, which in my case with young kids and a busy schedule means "pay someone else to clean your car" which over time will probably cost more than a MIC top
I took my OBX SAS soft top through the touchless car was and had no problems and no leaks. It did not do very well cleaning the tops of the running boards but the rest was fine.Has anyone taken there soft top through a car wash, or is that taboo
