I have been thinking about the 2021 F150 lately, specifically the ProPower Onboard option. If you aren't familiar it is a couple of 120/240 outlets in the bed that run off the truck, basically the truck is a generator.

There are rumors the 2022 bronco will have a hybrid option. I think it would make perfect sense to incorporate the ProPower Onboard as well.

Ford, are you listening?

I would hate to be the tech that has to chase any of those electrical gremlins

Ford says the generator is its own separate electrical system, but I get what you mean.

I'm really interested to see how it plays out on the F150. That option alone has me thinking about getting one instead of the Bronco. It would be a big help camping, overlanding, tailgating, and all kinds of other stuff.

I definitely think they will have that as an option for the hybrid. The battery is going to sit in that area where the slide out tailgate goes and it would make sense to have an outlet in the rear that can power a fridge, etc.

Ford’s #1 priority is getting Broncos on the road. I wouldn’t expect a hybrid until at least ‘23 or ‘24

If Ford really is struggling with overall vehicle weight, I have no freaking clue how they will manage a hybrid battery bronco & a generator, let alone just the hybrid battery. It will probably only be available in a 3 cylinder engine and no options ?

That is an excellent point, even with the aluminum body the F150 is already heavier than it's competition
