Well, I don't see anyone breaking out the torch to cut the hinges on a new $50K rig. But after some years/miles, find a friend who does metal fab and have fun.

If they can come with a method to mount the tire standing in the cargo area, I might be interested.
We've got these front fender eyelets... Time to go Africa style.

Those are so when you shut a door, the air has a way to escape. You'll see the same on F-150's.
I thought that may be the reason why.

The only time I may not like it is having to take it off every time I wash it.
I have had my current Jeep for 5 years now. Wheel it regularly but I stay out of the mud. However, when it's my kids turn to drive they head straight for it and cover the Jeep in mud. I also detail said Jeep in and out after every sesh. And not once has the thought crossed my mind to take the spare tire off when I am cleaning it. If the Bronco is set-up like the Jeep there will be plenty of room to get behind it for cleaning. I guess maybe save the behind the spare deep clean for when you rotate your tires.

I like the look better with the tire on the back.
For those of you which the Bronco will be the first vehicle like this, I will tell you taking the spare off and putting it back on again is a pain. My last Wrangler had a 2" lift and 35x13.50" tires. Lifting the 100 lb spare was not easy but manageable. It was trying to line up the bolts with the holes when you can't really see what you are doing because your arms are spread so wide hugging this huge tire. If you don't get it on the first couple of tries, that tire starts getting really heavy.
So I'll be leaving the spare on the back.

I like the looks better with the spare in place. I also like the peace of mind of carrying a full-size spare, although I think 1995 was the last time I had a flat on the road.

Side note: Hopefully the Bronco factory tailgate is stronger than Jeep's (Or maybe beefier hinge replacements are one of the 200 accessories I've seen mentioned a few times?)

I can't remember the last time I had a flat, either on/off road. That being said I like the look of it on, but not the weight (I tow it). I have never had an issue with having a plug kit, high volume air compressor, and a ratchet strap to take care of most any flat. As long as I can fabricate a way to secure it inside I will keep it, but both my bikes go on the back, and a 12" extension to clear the tire causes issues with bottom clearance on driveways and such.

As soon as a clean looking blank is available to house the rear camera, my sasquatch spare is coming off. I'm removing the rear seats and will build a mount back there for the tire when hitting the trails around town I will go without. I carry tire plugs and a foot pump, I haven't used a spare tire in decades.

I run a spare tire "delete" on my JK.
Ford Bronco Anyone thinking of Spare Tire Delete?? 1606397636214

But the tire is inside, strapped to the floor where the back seat used to go. I used to run it on the stock tire mount with extended bumpers to keep it in contact, but it still rattled, probably deformed the paper thin sheet metal. Then went aftermarket bumper/tire carrier but that rusted out in a few months so returned it and just tossed it inside ever since.

Hopefully the Bronco is a better setup so I can keep it on the tailgate, with factory 35s it better be!! I'd like the extra room back and the occasional back seat passengers if need be.

I know a lot 6G users have tiny garages, so I can see a lot of them deleting the spare tire just to be able to fit the Broncos in their garage, after they air down just to fit through the door.
For those of you thinking about the delete. Remember when you take off that 100 lb tire from the farthest point on the truck you are going to gain wheel clearance and roof height wil be higher.

This can be an issue to be aware of if you drive with a CB antenna on the rear. There are casinos in town I can not drive into due to low clearance. You may have shopping malls with the low clearance bar to consider.
