As I mentioned in the tire cover thread, I intend to delete the spare. It isn't necessary for DD. I haven't needed a spare 30+ years. If I do need assistance, that is what AAA is for. For wheeling or longer trips, I'll toss it on.
if that’s your cup of tea have at it. I don’t have that luxury. AAA is great but I live about 15 miles from town and have probably used my spare (to include wife and kids cars) about 10 times in the last 3 years. Plus I can change my own or go to where the wife and kids are stranded faster than AAA. And then pull the screw or nail and patch the tire for about 2 bucks. Or take is somewhere and pay 5. Plus having a tire on the back is kinda like a Bronco signature.

no delete for me, but definitely interested in a steel swing out spare holder
I wish it came from the factory too. I’ve had 3 Broncos and a scout. 1 of the broncos and the scout kept the spare in the cargo area. It’s probably the one thing I complained about the most

Nope. I just got a flat last week in my Mustang that has an "inflator kit" and that didn't work so I missed an appointment having to borrow a car to go order a tire. I will be more than pleased knowing I have a full sized spare with me at all times.

The only time I may not like it is having to take it off every time I wash it.

I think it looks cleaner but what a bad idea , so much junk on the road nowadays just waiting to take you out ,had the focus st out the other night a kapow rear drivers tire starts going low 13,000 miles i pull over and theres a muffler ubolt in there. 15 min later on the road ,why would you want to shoot yoursef in the foot .
P.S. my last flat was 25 years ago.

I know a lot 6G users have tiny garages, so I can see a lot of them deleting the spare tire just to be able to fit the Broncos in their garage, after they air down just to fit through the door.

I will be carrying it. I just changed my tires on the Veloster and it doesn't have a spare. Changed my tires at less than one year because 3/4 had plugs in em from nails, screws, or metal rod punctures and a 245/40/18 isnt an on the shelf tire.

Using the existing gate latch, it shouldn't be too hard to change the pivot point. Cut the current hinges and fabricate a pivot point similar to a truck bed. Attach a gate support cable, and you should be good to go.

Well, I don't see anyone breaking out the torch to cut the hinges on a new $50K rig. But after some years/miles, find a friend who does metal fab and have fun.

As mentioned, there is nothing to gain deleting the spare and self-sufficiency to lose.
Lets really roll the dice and delete the gas gauge! ;)
If they can come with a method to mount the tire standing in the cargo area, I might be interested.
