Anyone wired underbody lights to come on when doors open?

I'm interested in something to light up my slider steps when the doors are open. Has anyone installed the @ORACLE Lighting underbody kit (or something similar) and wired it in to only turn on when the doors are open?

Haven't done this, but would be incredibly simple using a relay with the cabin lights for the trigger reference.

With a SwitchPro that replaced my aux switches, I have my rock lights and fog lights turn on whenever the car is started, even with remote start.
Pretty cool when valet brings the car around, but I always switch off the rock lights before driving off.
