Yep. Three weeks to Seattle and back from Detroit. Wife and two kids. No regrets on our 2 door Bronco.

I also play in a band and can easily get all my guitars, amps, etc. in there. Wouldn’t be confident parking with all that $$$ gear in there if I had a soft top.

It helps to have a 4Runner TRD in the driveway as well. For larger loads and just to occasionally feel what it’s like to drive a vehicle that was designed/built for durability and reliability.

This is also an option, which we use when camping and/or biking is on the agenda…

Not gonna lie, the first time seeing the extra space in back of the 4-door, I was impressed. But the times a year where I legit would need that space are so few, it didn't make sense incurring the 4-door extra cost and reduced agility penalty.

Sure I wish I had a bit more cargo area space, but hey, I have a Bronco! Just remember Bronco Sports and 4-doors are in the same family!

We are lucky enough to have both a 2 door and added a 4 door this year. We LOVE our 2 door and honestly it is what the wife and I choose almost daily. I am work from home and it is rare she is not grabbing the keys to the 2 door on her way out in the morning. We have road tripped the 2 door and the 4 door when both of our 6'3" tall sons are on leave, and their only complaint between them is that the 4 door is easier to get into, however both think the 2 door is "cooler" looking so prefer we take that one when they are here. :ROFLMAO: It is all so subjective.

We could easily live with just the 2 door as it is just the 2 of us 90% of the time AND we both think it is a better looking truck. However, when it comes time for us to consolidate to just one vehicle we have decided it will be the 4 door. The extra space and ease of transporting visitors will be the only 2 factors pushing that decision.
SO just be honest with yourself about how you are going to use it and you can't go wrong either way.

If rear passengers are a rarity in your world I would stick with the 2 door. Once they are back there, there is plenty of room and it is comfy. Not worth the added price of the 4 door IMO nor the loss in agility and coolness. If you are transporting people several times a year (sometimes less agile people) and your wife likes to take the only family car to At Home every weekend, then maybe the 4 door is in your future :ROFLMAO:

Yeah with my kids being older now there's seldom anytime I drive with more than one passenger. It's not a lot different than all the guys at work with full size pickup trucks used for commuting where those pristine beds are unused 98% of the year. We live in times where a lot of people want things that they really don't need. The rear seats are basically going to be unused most of the time regardless so may as well as opt for the less expensive, better looking option and three or four days a year a few passengers will just have to deal with the slightly more difficult ingress/egress to access the back seat if they are traveling with me. I'm sure they will survive just fine from such an ordeal.

I have been going back and forth on getting a 2 dr or 4dr Bronco. I was wondering if anyone here bought a 2dr and now wished they had gotten a 4 dr.
My situation…

no kids, 99.9% of the time it’s just me or one other person going camping, fishing to the store or whatever. My worry is the space for cargo that has me second guessing the number of doors. Not that I haul a ton of crap but will there be the “man I wish I had more space” thoughts causing regret.

I don’t plan on wheeling, it will be exploring logging roads while in the PAC NW and desert roads when I head south for vacations.

The 2 dr seems more nimble for exploring the mountains and a lot easier around town. The 4 dr just seems huge to drive around but I spent decades driving an xtra cab Toyota pickup that is not as wide but is longer than a 4dr and it was fine.

this decision is making me nuts!

many wisdom passed my way is greatly appreciated!!
You're kidding. Right?

From 1966 to 2020…. There has NEVER been a 4 door Bronco.

For 54 years Ford or the consumers have not seemed to be interested in a 4-door.

I understand that the 4-door Bronco is a current staple for 6 gen Broncos, and accept that it is part of the current lineup as true Broncos for the current generation.

@tock13 you ended up buying a 4-door, but are you now regretting not getting a 2-door?

I keep eyeing a pretty little 2dr at my dealer and have considered doing the same thing.

Curious, was it an even Steven swap of the keys or did you come out ahead with the trade?

Exactly! Either there has been a seismic shift in consumer preference for 4-doors (in a product which has been traditionally 2-door only) or we are missing something. I'm thinking the later. I don't for a second believe what we are being told about 2-doors, manual transmissions and preference for bland white or black paint with black interiors.

I'm a rural boy, and you can't tell me that the average farmer around here would EVER choose an extra two doors over a six-foot (or more) bed in his truck. Or choosing a truck whose size is described in terms of displacement - and can't even fit in a WalMart parking slot. You can't tell me that in our lifestyle-obsessed culture that folks don't want color and interior options. Or that everybody knows that low profile tires on big rims are always better than high-profile tires on shorter rims.

There is something more going on here: we're surely being fed a narrative that just doesn't add up. Methinks this has more to do with engineering, production costs and compliance than it does with actual customer demand. We all know that CAFE efficiency standards (which are now on their way out) look to have been set up by an 11-year-old.

Case in point: can anybody explain why the Jeep Gladiators are only available in 4-doors (departing from the original concept)? Can anybody argue that the Gladiator would sell like crazy in a 2-door configuration, with a proper manual transmission and a V-8?

I'm glad Ford is offering the some over-the-top graphics and interiors and zippy paint along with the sacred 2-dr, manual transmissions. That's a huge reason why I opted for my Bronco.

The 6G Bronco body 2-door design is unarguably handsome. I am not a savage because I think that it looses much of the platform heritage by adding on the extra doors.

Not only do I not regret not going 4-doors - I do not regret not going 4-seats. Both rear seats are now folded completely down - and resulting in a much larger cargo area. 😁

I definitely don't regret removing them.
