I like how this looks on lighter colors, especially Cactus. Totally thought I’d do this forever but it’s been 3 months now and I think it’d be too murdered out for me on AMB.

I tried a plasti dip color because I wasn't sure how it would turn out or if I would even like the color (it can be removed). But I think it turned out good from a quality perspective. I actually like the color although I realize not everyone will like it. But just so you don't have to wonder how it looks, this is it.

For 15 dollars, I may try some other colors as well. The bronze wheels people have put on look good with the carb gray broncos so that might be interesting to try.

Not me. I don't do any "rock crawling" only mild off-roading in northern Michigan. powdercoating is extremely durable to withstand low to mid abuse, but grinding against a rock- thats another story.

EDIT: it's important to note that the "warm alloy" that comes stock on the NON-FE/WT Sasquatches is itself a powdercoat.

QUESTION: Is everyone re-installing these things with threadlock BLUE? I did notice a removable threadlock on all my bolts when dis-assembling. I did clean and re-apply the threadlock

I did rough them up a bit with scotchbite. I saw a another thread that they accept paint well with the factory coating that has been scuffed. And if I messed them I would have them powder coated in a similar MIC color.

Plasti-dipped mine matte black to try and match MIC handles and flares.
I plan on also trying a carbonized gray and white. Only would do white with possible white stripes!

Painted mine Carbonized Gray and then hit them with Gloss Clear after scuffing them up with Scothbrite.
