My bronco is supposedly loaded up on train and was shipped 8/3 (according to the Ford tracker) it saws transit time is anywhere between 12-28 to me (NJ) with and estimated delivery date of 8/30. Are those date ranges normal? Obviously refreshing tracker page every 10-15 mins and getting 3-4 hours sleep thinking about this. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I don't think there is any way to track it, but the dealer may have an idea of a time frame base on their experience with past shipments.

I feel like a rail from MI down here to SC is going to be quite a process. I am thinking 2-3 weeks min for me.

Search track railcar. Gotta get visibility report which has your railcar # on it. A combination of letters and numbers. Then call csx (number on that rail tracking thread) press 1, and speak the railcar id into the phone super clear like a robot and it works great every time. Tracked mine for the last 24 hrs from
Tucson AZ to the rail yard in Mira loma which is where it switches to truck for the dealer 60 miles from there. Was pretty fun (and super nerdy) to follow on map and find the rail on googlemaps for the day. And to know it got here this am. Now how long at the rail yard. 😬

My dealer called me yesterday and said my Bronco was in Chicago on its way to Portland. So someone knows how to track it.

Coincidentally, he said the first mannequin coming to his dealership was on the same train.

Back in the day, before everyone had their own vehicle, and before air travel was so common, hobos would jump trains and ride them until they got to where they wanted to go.

This mode of transportation, actually more of a lifestyle choice, was glamorized by county music artists such as; Boxcar Willie, Merle Haggard, and Jimmy Rodgers.

Might I suggest, finding the physical location of the train with your Bronco, and go full hobo mode and provide a video stream/blog of your adventure.

Edit: By adopting this strategy you would satisfy your curiosity by having real-time status of your bronco, and perhaps even form a bond with it by sleeping in it and familiarizing yourself with its knobs and cup holders, and you would be entertaining and educating us at the same time. Sounds like a win-win.

I know I would watch! Haha.

THIS ☝ is a good plan. I gotta be honest as I was scrolling southwest arizona, calling an automated phone system from my cell phone to track a 55k toy that technically isn't mine, but rather one that I'm nearly sure is on the same truck as mine, and realizing it wouldn't update tracking solely because the tracks were cutting diagonal through hundreds of miles with no town to track, I thought to myself shit I could hobo for a bit. like a few days probably weeks. as long as I had my REI tent, patagonia fleece, non BPA water jug, sparkletts delivery, MedMen subscription, martini set, fresh fruit, a shower, green egg and plenty of meat......

My dealer was able to give me the CSX railcar number to track progress. I called CSX this morning and learned my Bronco made it to Cayce, SC. Just 130 miles to go.
