I guess I just don’t see the issue. You either pay the price they’re asking or you don’t. The market will dictate the value. These guys are attempting to do doing what every business should, make money. With limited inventory, times are tough for dealers.

Sure I agree, all for capitalism. That said, you can't share the frustration of fellow enthusiasts who either can't of won't pay the ADMs and can't get or have to endure crazy long waits to get the vehicle they want? It's all definitely "1st world problems" here, but it's still enjoyable to me to see big risks backfire when the net result is in favor of the individual consumer.

I think I stated my support for capitalism prior in this thread. I believe one can hold seemingly contradictory beliefs when price gouging effects them personally.

Also, this case in particular highlights some particularly greedy and risky behavior (initial $45k ADMs and purchasing 10x many dealers annual allocations).

It also seems clear FMC doesn't think ADMs are good and they are the epitome of capitalism.

These are used Raptors (at least 11 of them today), there’s no ADM.

they appear to have bought at auction (likely from individuals who bought at MSRP) at the definition of market price. FMC has nothing to do with these 11 cars.

Yes, most of the remaining Braptors there are used.

IMHO a used car can have an ADM. All ADMs whether a new of used, "market" price or not, are simply ones being sold over MSRP.

No FMC has nothing to do with ADMs, nor anything to do with retail pricing ever, other than having a suggested MSRP.

Folks are very obviously interested in this situation and it's many facets. If you're not that's perfectly fine, "move on".

They are finally moving at $105.6. Sold 4 in the last 10 days. I wonder if they are going to other dealers, private parties to keep or other flippers...

They finally hit market value here. Only 4 left as of today.

It's close to the market value as determined by BaT including the $5k fee there. So about $100k there and $105k here. Makes rough sense as I'd expect BaT buyers to seek/find a bit lower "market" price as compared to those going to dealers.

My educated guess tells me this exercise has cost them money rather than bringing in profit.

Agree. Looks like they finally hit a pricing level where they’d move. I suspect some of those went out the door at a lower price than the web site price, but we’ll never know. They had to have lost money looking at what we know they paid for some of them on BaT. Ford raising MSRP probably also helped since their pricing would look like a lower ADM compared to current MSRP vs compared to the window sticker.

Yes, bet you're right, most dealers start high and will negotiate at least a bit.
