I was just thinking earlier how sweet it would be to have a rack and a mount for lights on the windshield and be able to remove the rack and roof but not have to worry about messing around with the light setup. Definitely interested and looking forward to seeing more of this.

This is just our first outing with a roof rack design. It blows my mind how flexible and configurable this rack is going to be.

Will lights be able to sit below the top line of the rack? For instance if I had lights, could I transport a canoe without crushing them?

AR - as soon information is available, please let us know what the overall height of rack is above the Bronco hardtop roof. I am hoping that adding the rack willI still allow me to get my First Edition into my 7"-high garage door opening.

Oh, don't you worry. 2 door and 4 door soft top designs are already on the design table. We started with the hard top, because that's what we own. The rack itself will carry over to the soft top, but the soft top will get mount designs specific to that application.

Once all of the components are machined, tested, and fully vetted, I'll open up the pre-order with a special discount code.

I'm thinking we'll also have a special patch made for this product. Most of our Holiday orders (Thanksgiving to New Year) are shipping out with this patch. I'm sure some forum members have this one by now.

I just ordered tour MAGNUM steps. Too late for this patch?

We already have this smaller rack designed and I've been kicking around different ideas for expanding it in the most minimal of ways to the front mounts, for both two door and four door applications. Trust me, this roof rack project is taking up A LOT of room in my head. There's more to come on this one.

Will the rear hardtop (2dr) option be available with the pictured flat rack on the front and rails only on the back?

I would prefer the keep the pictured rack over the front for serious trips, or the option to move it to either location if it rides the rails?
