because the rest is ‘fresh off the lathe’ just dropped at ‘powder coat’

Good point, good point. Whether I’m a chump or not - I believe they’ll follow through.

Clearly they’ve gotten way in over their heads. But, they’ve always done right by me. Always backing their warranty and provided replacement parts at zero cost.

But, this will certainly be the last part I buy in advance.

I doubt that. They just setup the automated message because of the incessant messaging. They’ll deliver…eventually.

July 5th and back at it! All of the current orders for solid color CHISEL are off the lathe. There are also some that are full raw that are up for gear pattern machining. These pics will be at powder coat on Monday. Fingers crossed the knobs that were dropped off last week will be ready. I’m thinking 50/50 odds since there was a holiday thrown in the mix.

2 months, 2 months at the powder coater. ZERO powder coaters are backed up 2 months.

Maybe switch from Chisel to Whitebread (no powdercoating), so we at least have a shot at getting something.?

I think I'm gonna gamble on a chisel and a reverse lockout one of these days. There's still other stuff I want to do first. The big powdercoat place around here is fast if you want black, other colors not so much. Probably don't need to go to the "big" powdercoat place to do a batch of shift knobs though, I would imagine.

Well, the chisel didn’t arrive in August as indicated by their automated email. I guess we’ll see if September is our lucky month.

i debated buying some of the stuff and then reselling at 100% markup, but I was afraid they would never ship all the things if they figured out what i was doing… jokes on me i guess. They aren’t shipping much anyway.
