It seems like the brushless single comes pretty darn close to the output of the old twin model. Makes for easier packaging IMO, maybe something under hood for the Braptor?

There is a big air intake in the way where the compressor would go. Even with the single it's still problematic for fitment.

We don't know 100% yet. We BELIEVE it should be, otherwise ARB can't use ANY of their existing mounting systems out there. We'll know once our compressors arrive to us.
Any update on this? Curious about the previous mounting brackets as well.

No updates yet. We'll be doing some preliminary testing this week. The thing is they changed the wiring harness so we have to come up with an easy way to install it on the trucks. Also there is no more built in pressure switch... they GIVE you the pressure switch but you have to install it yourself so that adds to the wiring and installation time

GOOD NEWS! We've confirmed that the new Brushless Air Compressors WILL fit on our KR Off-Road Brackets! You will need to have one of our more recent versions (which feature the extra mounting holes as shown in one of the photos below). BUT if you've purchased your bracket from us within the last 2 years or so it should have those additional holes.

We will make a running change on future brackets to add in additional mounting holes BUT our current brackets WILL WORK!

The wiring IS slightly different however. It utilizes a new dual style power plug. This should be an easy installation if you have upfitter switches as you'll plug the harness in and connect it to an upfitter.

The air coupler DOES get mounted to the side now instead of the top. That is one change ARB made.

You can still utilize our coupler/switch bracket BUT there is no more PLUG AND PLAY switch connection if you use that kit. This is because ARB did away with the extra plug for this. We will provide instructions at a later point in time on how to wire in a regular switch BUT for now, if you have upfitters it's still an easy wiring installation for you.

Here are some photos on our bracket. We'll take installation photos at a later point in time.

I currently have your ARB dual with extra coupler/switch and wired to the battery. I dont have any up fitter AUX switches left, so id be interested in how to wire up the "old way".

Which mount do you have? Can you shot me a photo.

So wiring it up via a switch takes a bit more work. They don't have a connector to just PLUG in the switch, like we had previously done with our CrystaLux switch pigtail.

So you'll need to get a GROUND circuit to the switch (easy enough right near the compressor). You'll also need to run a POSITIVE feed from your battery. That goes into the switch on pin 2. Then on pin 3 on the back of the switch that would go to the RED control wire on the new harness (the new harness has 4 wires coming off it, the red wire is the RELAY trigger wire).

On the old Twin, they had a 3 pin cable we could plug into that gave us ground and power. On the new compressor they did away with that and they built the trigger harness INTO the main harness (ODD, we're not sure why they did that).

So yeah just a few extra steps in order to get the switch to work. No more PLUG AND PLAY.

Weird they changed the wiring setup (as you mentioned on launch) - probably easier on them. thanks for the info!

Yeah it's a bit odd. They also didn't put a wire sheething on either. Sooo you're going to want to do that as well. NOT SURE why they opted to do it this way. Requires a bit more work now.

I was wondering about this as well but I guess still no dice for under-the-hood Braptor mounts... In terms of performance though (keeping 37's in mind), is the new brushless single truly comparable to the non-brushless twin as a viable option for 37 inch+ tires?

No there is no room under the hood. Sorry. We sell the AGS kit for Broncos, puts it behind the spare tire: https://www.4x4truckleds.com/ags-tire-carrier-air-compressor-kit-for-2021-ford-bronco/

The brushless won't fit with the AGS though.

The brushless twin is faster then the Twin.

We've not tested them yet
From the ARB specs online, the new single runs about 1.5 cfm capacity below the old dual. How that translates in real life when going from say 15 to 35 psi may not be too much of a timing difference.

I have the old dual, and run a 4-way air up hose. If I did it all over again, to save space I'd go the brushless single now that it's 100% duty cycle like the dual, and added tech features.

Whenever we get brushless in, they go right out. So we've not had a chance to test them first hand.

We just boxed up a few going out today to some lucky customers that we got. We have more coming... well not sure WHEN exactly. We have some on order with ARB for their next batch.
