Sounds like the vehicle needs to be running if operating the compressor then.
Most certainly. Any compressor you connect to your vehicle should only be ran with the vehicle running, or you'll drain your battery really fast.

Here are some pics of the single compressor installed. I placed mine as far back as I could incase I needed to use a winch relocation kit. I also added a 90 elbow to keep the hose adapter where I wanted it. Your bracket worked great @4x4TruckLEDs.com , great job.

I got around to doing just the mounting. When closing the hood, the quick release chuck doesn't even come close to clearing. And that's with the 45 degree angle adjustment. It presses fairly deep into the hood liner. Not what I was expecting at all...

I think I'll be looking into a complete relocation option soon.

Interesting, I don"t aee any evidence that mine hits the liner at all. Seems like it could be close though.

Yea, I didn't realize how much juice these draw, she's hungry!

Is the relay for these on the unit or is it part of the wiring harness?

Is anyone just using the switch that comes with it and having that under the hood since it's wired directly to the battery? Is there a good place to mount it, or can it mount to the bracket someplace?

To me it seems like waste to use an upfitter switch for it because you have to open your hood anyways to add the air hose so just use a switch there and save an upfitter for something else.

My plan, once I get the compressor mounted, which will have to wait until I actually get my Bronco, is to run a remote hookup out the front somewhere so I don't have to open the hood every time I need air. A couple barb fittings and some rubber hose should make this pretty simple. My biggest concern is keeping the quick disconnect clean so it operates properly. I'm still looking for some type of dust cover for it.

This is what I was planning on doing for the reason you mention. There are some Jeep kits out there that the mounting bracket has a spot for the switch.

Maybe this could be Rev 1 to this product?

This looks like a good option.

If you use the ARB quick connect (it doesn't have to thread onto the compressor, you can run some hose and thread it onto the hose):

2.7L

Attached a screenshot where it is depressing the liner by about a full inch of depth. This is with hood down enough for the safety latch but still needs to go another inch for full closure.
