Smooth or picatinny. Need someone to help me decide. want to just mount iPhone to it once in a while. The picatinny has the rugged factor i think but seems the smooth might have more options. So torn.

Curious which mount you used for the radio. I have the same one, but need to figure out the mounting solution for the speaker.I love this AR Rail and added 67 Design Ipad mound and use the other for my radio - works well so far - both companies make first class products
I used all 67 Designs arms and holders including for the Ipad - for the Radio - I cheated a bit and just used this - https://www.67d.com/products/x-plate - seems its on sale at the moment too - so a pretty simple and inexpensive way to do it. The Mic holder that comes with those radios - has adhesive that is very strong - just stick it to this plate - job done.
So finally installed my graphite black smooth rail and each piece seems a little off from one another. I noticed the two rails were slightly off, one darker than the other, but figured they would be separated by that middle piece so no one would notice but the ends are lighter than the rails. I know the lighting and angle affects the shade a bit but it's not that. It is much more noticeable on those pieces.
Is that the same for you guys?

There's always been a slight variation on color with the anodized pieces. They simply can't all be dipped at the same time. A typical run of rail parts is 500 parts. The tanks being used just don't have the capacity for all of the parts to fit at the same time. Just seconds difference in dip time, from run to run, will affect the overall color.
If the color variation is too great, just email [email protected] with this issue and we can get it exchanged for another Graphite Black or you can get the new TARMAC BLACK that's black black.
I'll give it a chance for a couple days.
