I'm not talking specifically about the Factory Winch setup with the HD bumper (although that DOES count)... just curious how many people plan on adding a winch ASAP.

Yes. Aftermarket. Thought about getting it factory installed but I’m worried my Bronco will be delayed six months just waiting on a late availability winch if l went that route.

I'll be add one eventually, but I am not sure that it will be as soon as possible. I want to round out my other recovery gear first and see how I truly end up using the Bronco. I also don't like the factory option so I will need to wait for aftermarket to come up with something.

I am but not immediately. I plan on doing some trails and getting more accustomed to off-roading before I go all out. After 2-3 years and there is more after-market support for winches I'll get one. No wayyyyy I'm spending $2k for Ford's Winch right off the bat. MaxTrax, some tow straps, a hand puller and going with friends for now

At first I was all in on a winch right away. Then thought about what kind of off-roading I'll be doing my first year in a BL, state/national parks, maybe some forest roads. I'll re-evaluate year by year.

I will at least have a recovery kit (straps, snatch block, soft/hard shackles...)

Nope. I don't do the kind of wheeling I used to do. The Jeep still has a winch on the front even if I haven't taken the cover off it in 5 years now.
Yep, mine on my Wrangler has been idle for about the same time. I've moved it from vehicle to vehicle since 1984 and although I wheel fairly hard I've used it fewer than 10 times....and each time I wished I had just shown better sense before proceeding...discretion is the better part of valor,,,or...a man's got to know his limitations (Dirty Harry)

Seems this one would play nicer with the trail cam...

Yep. As soon as it’s in my driveway it’s getting a winch. Hoping they’ll sell the winch mounting kit separate from the winch because I’m not paying Ford double the price of an already overpriced winch for a few hours of work with simple tools.

Can’t hit the trails I run without one. And in many groups the general etiquette is that you need to have a winch anyway.

I’m going to take the winch off my Wrangler and move it to the Bronco. (Superwinch Tigershark 9500). Just need a mounting solution. I’m sure if Ford doesn’t sell the mounting plate as a stand alone item, the aftermarket will provide something in short order.

I’ve used the one on my Wrangler twice in the last 5 years. But it made a small nuisance of what could’ve been an awful day.
