Area 51 Accent Color Options

With the white lettering on the OBX, I am going to look into white line-x on the MIC top to set it off. Agree on the orange colors mentioned above, when you look at your color wheel, orange is complimentary to blue.

I'd like to see different shades of gray stripes to tie in the MIC top a little more. Probably darker shades than what's pictured here but similar.

Every car I have had, before buying it or shortly thereafter, I get excited about adding some personal trim to bling it up a little. I always eventually decide against it. On my A51 BD (MIC top), I thought maybe red with white outline lettering overlay on the grill, paint the rear bronco red, and add a thin white with red center stripe. Then I saw a lettering company's example of red grill letters on A51 and I don't like it. Also, if I had a white metal hard top and door handles it could look good, but with all the black, it seems the look would be too mixed. Would love to see any other examples, though. I keep my cars forever, so it's not about resale. I just always settle on it looking better plain. Sort of like when I was young and thinking about getting a tattoo. I figured eventually I would change my mind so never got one...which was the right decision for me.

I like the sandstone idea. I might add that or coyote or a green. I'm also putting this on the side front fender. I love Calvin and Hobbes.

I’m leaning towards Area 51 but would like to add some accent colors to the grill lettering, wheels, emblems, etc. I can’t decide what would compliment A51 (even if not a specific Ford color). Does anyone have any suggestions on colors you think would look good on an A51 body?

Check out stickerfab.com. They have a lot of colors (vinyls) in their products and pictures on a 2dr A51 Wildtrack. I'm going to start with vinyls to see what I like then maybe use paint for a more permanent solution.Might give you some good ideas.

Personally, I think white looks pretty bad on A51, but I'm likely in the minority.

Looks good, I'm thinking orange as well. I have the sandstone interior so will probably stay with sandstone/coyote. My wife says I have to wait until after Christmas to buy anything.

Honestly the badlands orange is an extremely good complimentary color to the A51. Accents of white and dark grey/black add interest and variation. I wouldn't introduce any other colors personally. Some of the other bronco trim levels have some awful color combos but a Badlands Bronco with A51 is one of the best color combos IMO.

I added these StickerFab vinyls today. I love the orange on the Area51. I forget where I got Calvin though.

I won’t have photos to post for a few months, but I plan on mounting white Fifteen52 Analogs with 275 75r17 tires, white Bronco fender script badges, and have the top bars wrapped in white for when the top is down (plan to keep it removed for the warm season). Have all the stuff in hand, just need to do it.
