Area 51 and Amazon?

Has amazon been displaying a very similar version of the Area 51 bronco color for a few years now with all of their vans driving around? If Area 51 looks like this, I have my color locked in.

I will be ordering many things from amazon now just to keep getting a glance lol. Hopefully I don’t creep the drivers out when I ask if I can touch their vans

I have been looking at the same "relationship" as well...we have 2 amazon warehouses in the area (Vegas & Henderson, NV)...the color (amazon's) looks awful dark for the heat in the Nevada desert...are the delivery vehicles built by Ford?....may have to rethink my color choice...don't want people hailing me down to ask if I'm the "backcountry " delivery man!

The thing that gets me is the top picture you posted seems to be a sport on an overcast day. Maybe not %100 shaded, but it doesn’t look close to the shaded paint can photo in my opinion. Again it all has to do with what camera was used, if contrast was added automatically, what screen you’re viewing the picture from. It’s definitely a tricky color

I would take a representation of the color on an actual car over a Jerrycan any day. There is an entire area 51 color thread with tons of pictures and an actual paint sample in shade and sunlight. That shadow pic of the jerrycan is the only one it looks that dark in. I would be willing to bet it misrepresents the color.

I see what you’re saying about the Jerry can photo, but here is a picture of a bronco sport in full light, looking way different than the two pictures you posted. And I would be willing to bet if it were in the shade, it would resemble the Jerry can pretty closely.

I’m not disagreeing with you, I’m still undecided if the amazon van would be a similar representation of Area 51, but like you said, I would have to agree it is most likely darker.
