Check the Forscan spreadsheets for the Ranger, should use a similar body module.

Does disabling it in Forscan just set it to off by default, or does it disable it? Just wondering if the auto stop eliminator adds anything over the Forscan route.

I believe disabling it in Forscan simply tricks the vehicle into thinking you are applying pressure to the steering wheel, thus preventing auto off. Autostop Eliminator saves your setting and automatically applies it when you start the vehicle. Forscan is great for a lot, but I purchased the Autostop Eliminator as I don't like the way Forscan handles this.

Aman did you install the Eliminator yet? I have ordered it for my vehicle (that I am waiting on), but plan on installing it right away. The video I watched makes it look pretty straight forward, was it? Did you have any issues removing the requisite paneling. Thanks

No sir, my Bronco is scheduled to be built in December, so haven't had the opportunity. As you mentioned, the video makes it look dead simple, so should be a fifteen minute job.

So we are in the same boat, but you will have yours sooner so you can guinea pig it for me and report back. Should be easy, hardest part should be pulling apart the paneling carefully and reinstalling it so you don't break any clips.

Am I missing something here the steering wheel has an effect on the auto start?

Power steering requires the engine to be running, so I believe, Forscan tricks the vehicle into thinking that you are turning the steering wheel a bit which keeps the engine from shutting off.

There’s a plug on the negative battery terminal. Just unplug it.

Forgive my ignorance.
So I do not need to purchase an eliminator?
Simply unplug (image please) what plug to disable the auto stop/start?
