Hey all,

New to the forum, great insight and information. Question regarding the ASS, has anyone played with or eliminated the dreaded ASS using a simple jumper on the back side of the harness ? The ref. pic below was from my F150 and it worked without any issues in totally disabling.
I understand the purchased plug in availability as many have used, but this option is a freebie if possible. Looking for feedback !

I thought about it but I caved and paid the 100$ instead of jumping my ASS. 🤣

I think cuz the button is just one plug for the radio controls it’s not going to be quite that easy but still probably not impossible.

I did mine with forcescan which was also basically free but I had to buy an adapter to use it but I bought it for other things years ago so it wasn’t a direct investment to this specific mod.

Hopefully someone jumps in that can show the connection and better explain the wiring to understand if its doable.

Forscan fixes this for the easy price of $50 for the cable.

I just don’t get the hate for for auto stop/start. It’s very in intrusive better than just about any other auto stop/start system I’ve driven with.

Why the need to disable it?
There is no need. People like to obsess over nothing

There's a button to disable it already. You just have to remember to press it.

Just extend your index finger when you're reaching for the shifter to put it in gear. Problem solved. No cost to the consumer.

Because it is annoying and unnecessary.
It's there to save gas, be quieter and allow for less pollution. It works, or Ford wouldn't have included it. I chose not to post about stuff I like. I'm gonna vent this morning:

I enjoy having this start stop feature.

While I'm at announcing unpopular opinions:

I like the four door. Better than the two door, which is a fine rig. 2 door is too short to me.

I like the original OBX wheels and tires.

I like the soft top, changed from a hard top to get the build and it worked.

I use premium gas.

I like the way the windows drop when the doors open. I wait for it like a hello to show me how cool this rig is.

I know how to drop the top and not scratch the roll bar paint.

I like the 2.3, also chosen for potentially quicker build

Love the Lux and the B&O sound.

I have a key pad for the gas door, which is popular, thanks forum.

Mine will neVAr get lifted for 'stance'.

Love the Bronco. It makes me smile.

Some got theirs before me, and I've got mine now. I waited a 'long time', and my build got delayed several times. I let the factory do its thing and waited until the Bronco showed up.

I'm going for a drive.

Should be the brown cable on the connector. Not sure what you would need to jump it to as I have no clue how this actually works.
