Never owned a soft top vehicle. Safe to go through automatic car wash with spinning brushes and powerful air jets?

I imagine. I’m sure some current owners or Jeep owners can chime in.

Definitely wanna wash it yourself or go through a brushless car wash. I would avoid car washes with brushes at all costs.

Your plastic windows would be badly scratched, so not worth it. As others have already said, brushless or hand wash only.

Here’s a good article about it covering different makes/models. Looks like most companies take the same stance - hand wash recommended, but laser-wash should be fine. After seeing how easily my soft-top windows have scratched already, I def would go brushless wash if possible.

Not even a hardtop vehicle should go through a car wash with brushes, IMO. You never know where those brushes have been! Well, actually you know exactly where they have been but you do not know the condition of the vehicle they last touched

I don't know if the local whip and scratch have a track that will push a 315 tire through it.

I think the owners manual says to avoid them as well

If it's a BD or BL we can just go through with the top off, right? the MGV will hold up... no?
Just make sure not to pay for hot wax (unless you're into that sort of thing, I guess)

Just took my soft top thru the laser wash. No issues. I just wouldn’t do any of the wax/rain x options.
