The technology going into 5th gen is unreal. Pilots aren't even pilots, they're more just operators at that point.

I sure hope there's still some back up analog gauges being added! Or at least a bunch of redundancy built into the electric system. That bottom picture I'm imagining flying 500 knots, 500 ft AGL, at night, through a mountain valley... with an electrical failure. That's enough to make me suck up the seat cushion!
@BeerForMyHorses I'm continuing the conversation here as this is the more appropriate thread.
There is typically a fair amount of reductancy built into military flight decks, I'm sure you can speak first hand about this. For the newer 5th gen, I can't speak to any specific area but I believe they have some backup gauges such as the attitude indicator (AI)/ artificial horizon.

Here is the first thread in the conversation for those that want to follow along:
Our company, Collins Aerospace, is already working on them, here is the F-35 20" Wide-Area display:

And here is Bell's full cockpit display:

And here is the F-35 cockpit display:

Got a chance to play in the mobile demo cockpit many years ago. Also got a chance to fly the F-22 demo cockpit. Had a great job.

Flying into my home airport. Yes...I'm high on final approach again.

I’ll take high any day. Slip, one more notch of flaps if you have them, or go around. Much better than too low.

And here is the F-35 cockpit display:

Im sure the kids today love those glass cockpits but nosiree for me analog all the way ,back in the day as a kid and a jr. birdman i used to do cross countrys and my backup was reading the names of the towns an cities off of the feed store roofs! ,one time i missed my checkpoint "horsehead lake" because the wind got crazy and had to swoop down and see where i was ?.With smartphones now you can do everything an e6b, jepper sanderson flight computer ,and all the fancy stuff we had back then, that stuff didnt break or need batteries but the human error was high if you didnt pay attention CAVU
