Yup, just as we thought - Area 52. As an A51 fan, I donā€™t hate it. Iā€™m not sure I $995 like it though. Some people donā€™t like non-metallic paint, so thereā€™s that. If you like it get it, if not donā€™t.

All of the Tri-coat colors now have the $995 increase.
Unless something changed in build and price there was no extra charge for the Velocity Blue or Eruption Green and then the Hot Pepper Red was only an additional $500. Iā€™m not saying itā€™s not a beautiful color, I just donā€™t understand the pricing. Especially for something so similar to area 51

I cannot believe ford is charging $1000 for this color
Agreed, I was hoping this would be closer to Brittany Blue, but there barely appears to be any visible metal flake in the paint from the dozens of pictures I've seen.

Those are not tri-coat colors. Tri-coat is a pearl. Those you listed are metallics. Different process.

Chili pepper red is a tri coat

The point I was making is why is that specific color $1000? They could have had a metallic Area 51 for no additional charge. I donā€™t see the value in a tri coat paint especially when Iā€™ve had it in the past and wasnā€™t happy with the quality of it.

Interesting. It's not listed that way. That begs the question as to why one tricoat is $495 and one is $995.
I learned the hard way. I had it on a bronco sport and the door had some damage from a Valet sign that tipped over. They had to paint damn near half the car to blend the tri coat
