If anyone has a 3d printer and good understanding of audio stuff I bet you could make a better than oem enclosure for that wheel well area.
I'm no audio person, but honestly I think the enclosure is pretty well done. It takes advantage of all of the space available in there and has a long port on one side. It sounds great with the Kicker 8" in it.

I'm sure it works great. I'm just thinking 3d printing something might be cheaper than $300. I mean this guy did THIS with a 3" subwoofer. I'm sure someone could 3d print something like this to fit in that space.

They certainly could, but with most printer's print volume it would take a lot of time/material/assembly. It could be worth it, and if someone comes up with a design I'd print it out and try it. The key is the time to design it would more than offset the $300 cost of the Ford one.

I think that would depend on whether one treats it as a hobby or as a job. Some people just like making things. I have a 470mm X 470mm (18.5"x18.5") printer I've been building and I'd do it if it was done.

Ok thanks I'll try that. Just to be sure both buttons on the bottom are pushed in correct DC offset and input level?

Ford Bronco B&O sub installed on Base Bronco ….sorta…. 1648940143480
Also did it sound good as soon as everything was hooked up or not until you changed settings. I think they might have sent me a bad speaker

Double check everything. Polarity to high level inputs. Polarity to sub. Etc.

I have the same sub and amp, it should work awesome.

YES. The polarity has to be correct. If they are not, the sounds would be cut in half and basically will not work.

I found my scribbled notes on input wiring. I assume you cut the sub wires going into enclosure and wired them to the amp, cutting off the rca ends. Double check your wiring:

Yellow -> white
Purple -> white/black

Green -> gray
Black -> gray/black

Maybe you need a resistor for your speaker level inputs. @Ksjrb03 did you use one?

No, that’s the beauty of the kicker 500.1, it can handle factory amp signals as high level inputs. Basically has a built in LOC.
