Quick poll of you awesome members.

So I am guessing that most (more than 50%) of B6G members can drive a manual and @Drex thinks it’s less than 50%. Made me curious but yes or no, can you drive a manual?
@Drex is right. Your only respondents were "awesome members". You excluded everyone else (such as "moderately adequate" members, for example) in your poll... survey design 101.

I can and did from day 1 to 38. Always thought if you drove an auto you were a lesser driver. Then I got tired of shifting in shit traffic. Moved to auto and haven't looked back. Don't miss driving stick at all.

If I did go back to manual it'd be on a sporty car. Definitely not a truck/SUV.

I can drive a man, but I'm getting an auto. Can also ride a motorcycle. lol.

That describes my wife and daughter. I prefer the stick though.
Will be as hard to keep my daughter out of my Bronco as it is to keep her off my bikes.

Learned when i was 12 in a mustang 2, 40 years ago. My 72 is a 3 speed. Dad has a 4 door jeep with a stick. Getting the 2.7 so i guess its auto for me.

Have had 4 manuals: '79 Capri Gia, '81 Jeep CJ-5, '86 Cavalier Z-24, '89 Mazda RX-7
3 autos: '93 Explorer, '98 BMW 325i , '10 Escape XLT

Going to the 2.7L on the Bronco so locked into the auto, otherwise would be very happy and comfortable with a manual. GF wouldn't like it though.... LOL

Drove a stick for years. Anyone can do it. In the old days everyone did it.

I'm getting an auto.

I've owned manuals most of my driving life, but the wife absolutely refuses to drive one or learn how to drive one. When I bought the Grand Cherokee I really didn't have an option, but the ZF 8 speed it has is wonderful. I still have two motorcycles when I feel the need to use a clutch and shift on my own.

I drove my 5 speed Turbo T-Bird since I was 18 and have always had a manual transmission vehicle, or two, in my family vehicle stable to this day. All my wife’s vehicles have been manuals.

I’m not sure why we found it to be important but we always wanted our sons to know how to operate a manual transmission. We started teaching them early. They both want manual transmissions for their cars.

These days, a manual transmission is practically a theft deterrent device.

We want a manual Bronco but we’re not sure if we’ll get one, since it’s not offered in all trim levels.

Driven manuals most of my life, but mostly sports cars--started on a Jetta but then 3 Porsches (2 944s and a Boxster) and an Audi S5. Although I'm still not 100%, I'll likely go MT on a Bronco BL. Just can't see the AT being nearly as much fun. Like many others, I'd be thrilled with a MT coupled with the 2.7, but I think the 2.3 will get the job done.

Not shocked.
1. The older crowd does seem well-represented here.
2. A higher percentage of car-enthusiasts are highly likely to know how to drive a lot of different things compared to the general population.
3.) And as someone previously mentions, you may not even bother to click on a survey if you can't drive stick if the survey is titled "Can you drive a manual or not?"
I was at a mustang cruise a couple years ago and a guy admitted his car (v6 even) was an auto, which got him a lot of flak. But not as much as him admitting 2 seconds later he didn't know how to drive a stick while among mustang enthusiasts. Dumbass.
