Mine is on the train right now, and ill take it with the top on it regardless of if it has these edges or not. I'll just warranty claim it later. It sat on dirt mountain for three months, so ill take it now and have for fix it later. What a pain.
Ditto! Mines on the train. Just give it to me and I’ll let ford fix it later.

They should at least offer evryone a soft top option I was against it especially after seeing how the rail was rubbing off the paint on the pillars but If they gave me an option for soft top on my 2 door I think I’d consoder it this mic top is going to be a throwaway once that slant hard top comes out. I might use the mic top as target practice
Yeah, I just hope mine‘s ok. If not, maybe I could just get a replacement when the problems are fixed. Yeesh, what a mess.

Bad news, folks. This is a MIC 2.0 top built 10/1, delivered 4 days ago.

Top looked excellent at pickup. Did not notice any issues.. 4 days later, I notice I can see the old issue returning. Have not notified Ford yet.

Check your MIC tops CLOSELY on the rearmost panel by the windows. Appears to be pulling apart a bit.

I'll have a lot more photos and any other misc info coming shortly.

BTW, Im happy to delete this and bite the bullet if the forum wants to go that way. Im not in love with the idea of being the reason of another delay.

There is also slight honeycombing.

Im going to use some high strength epoxy with gray pigment to reinforce the edging. My plan is to rub it in the openings all along the edge and then clean it off the visible panel. That should reinforce the edging while sealing out water.

Updated with some photos posted later in thread by @AJ_West_

OMG, this is the reason why they cancelled the remaining MY21s. It’s a MIC conspiracy lol. I will be replacing the MIC top though, I think it’s shit to be honest. Would rather have a soft top on my two door instead.

That's a banger. Check out #2! What a world!

My plan is to talk to the dealership and fix it unless instructed not to do so. If my fix fails, well my Bronco is going to look killer with that Fastback soft top!
Seriously, if you try fixing it, you are begging them to not cover it under warranty. Don't touch it unless they agree to it (and record that conversation).

Now, would you like valves with that???

Three alarm thread.

OK Ford, time to give in and offer a soft top on the two door. Feels like whatever I get is destined to be replaced by aftermarket anyway, so I might as well get a top that can get built and pass through QC sometime this decade.

So how do you know it is actually a MIC 2.0 top (other than your Bronco build date). Those sure look like unfinished edges to me. Is it plausible that a MIC 1.0 could have accidentally made it to the assembly line on 10/1???
