This version of my build is far more extensive and mapped out so I wanted to start a clean thread. The OG thread is more accessories and lifestyle

I was wondering why yours looked so different. I didn’t know you cut those ends off. I hate those ends, but I really don't want to try and cut them off.

Looking really nice
thanks bro! That last push during the freeze was brutal 🥶

I couldn’t wait to finally pull it out of garage today. I couldn’t get an eye on how it was all pulling together.

They’re absolutely obnoxious looking. It’s just an oversized body mount. I’ve had my eye on cutting them off for the past year but wanted to wait until I could do all the work at once.

With the right tools, specifically choice in blade. One per side. It really wasn’t a hard job. It was one of the more satisfying task to hear them hit the ground.

So you used a recirculating saw? IDK, it scares me to think what it looks like if I screwed up the cut, LOL. I wish you were close, I'd pay you to cut it. So that's all those tabs are for, some type of body mount?

Yep, it’s just a body mount. It’s large to incorporate the crash bars.
I’m sure to navigate whatever fed regulations for safety or safety rating they needed.

I guess it’s a matter of perspective. I’ve worked w/ tools for 35+ yrs in a heavy equipment industry, so I was comfortable with it. Even so, after doing it, I don’t think it was a hard task. Just take your time and follow the steps.

Reciprocating Saw is the right tool for the job here. Cut wheels to clean it up if needed. Grind off the burrs. Prime. 3 rattle-can coats of paint. Install new brackets.

they have a well made install video here!

I don’t know for fact, but I’m pretty sure I’ve broke my warranty at this point; needs to be a consideration for those uncomfortable with that.

Looking good. I’m tackling the JKS Max Kit in a couple days. Getting mine prepped for 37’s and a lift. Gonna do it while I’m swapping the front bumper.
