Picked up my Bronco and like others have mentioned my tires were at 42psi. When I got it home I dropped it to 36psi and it rides better on the street.

Looking to see what everyone else has experienced? Has anyone done the chalk test?

Yeah cars typically ship with higher PSI to mitigate flat spotting

I get the higher psi for shipping, strap the wheels and let the suspension do its job.

I have often found the door psi to be a guide at best depending on what I am doing. Around 32-35psi I have found to be my basic sweet spot for comfort, mileage, and wear. Just wondering if others have found a sweet spot.

32 to 35 psi was what I previously ran in my cars/suv for street driving. On my Badlands with the 33s, 32 to 35 psi felt kind low for everyday driving.

When doing a bit of offroading I noticed how soft and very flexible the tires were already at 31psi. At 30ish psi the pressure warning came on. This is why I feel 32 to 35 is a bit low for pavement, especially if loaded up with cargo.

I've been driving around at 41 psi for normal use. Both times I wheeled the trail I mentioned above I drove there and back at 31psi. 30 min round trip. 31 vs 41 psi had almost no difference to me on the road. But I wasn't paying close attention.

The other reason I keep it up above 40 is that I've noticed these larger tires are more susceptible to temp changes and I can be down as much as 5 or 6 psi on a frozen morning. Only during a warmer afternoon driving on dry pavement will the pressure raise back up near 41psi.

But each person has their preferences. My coworker has some Toyo A/Ts on his F-250 and leaves them at 60 psi because sometimes he has a heavy load.

I'll admit I never checked the door sticker yet. What's the 4door badlands say?

Be sure to do the chalk test on hot tires then let them cool and measure the pressure on each tire so you know how to get the best ground patch for each tire.

On my old FSB I ran the 35x12.5R17 tires at 32psi for road use, that truck scaled at 5500# with standard gear onboard. My Raptor ran the 315/70R17 at the same weight as my Bronco but the factory spec was 38psi, the recommended pressure from the forum for all around comfort and MPG was 36psi.

On my 2 door badlands the factory sticker shows 39psi, which I believe is too high for a 4705# truck. I’ll try 36 and see how it does. It currently has 13 miles on it, so I haven’t driven it much since delivery on Tuesday (it doesn’t have plates yet).
