Badlands is likely more capable than you need in Louisiana, however having lived there for 15 years in my CJ5, I would definitely get the marine grade vinyl seats and washout floors that comes in the Badlands as you’ll inevitably get caught in rain storms. If you do go off-road you’ll be playing in the mud which is even more reason to go with the washout floors and front lockers. It doesn’t come with sport mode, however I very easily added that to my Badlands.
