I was looking at the Badlands vs Wildtrack and it seems if you want the Sasquatch package, the Badlands is a bad deal in Canada.

Here's my analysis comparing similarly equipped vehicles (let me know if I'm overlooking anything)...

Badlands:
Base: $53000
Sasq +$6250 (includes AT)
Mid Pkg +$1750
2.7L Eng +$2000
Total = $63000

Wildtrack:
Base: $56500 (includes Sasq., Mid pkg, 2.7L)
Bumper/Bash +$1500
Total = $58,000

Which means the sway bar disconnect, rock rails, and rock crawling which are exclusive to the Badlands come at a $5000 premium in Canada.

Pricing the same thing out in the US results in a $1300 difference which makes a lot more sense for that stuff.

I wonder why the Badlands with Sasquatch is such a bad deal in Canada.

Did you forget the AT price or is it included with the 2.7 in CA?

I've been struggling with that as well and settled on the BL without SAS as it already has the same suspension. I wanted the MGV interior, heavy bash plates and stay bar disco and when seen side by side with Wildtrack, really doesn't have much of a difference in height.
I'm planning on switching out the 33" (285/70/17) with 285/75/17 BFG KO2 when I can

Badlands comes with the MGV interior with the washout floors while the Wildtrak comes with cloth.

I'm not sure the BL squatch package is that great of a deal stateside either. IMO BL standard package is pretty much squatched less the 35" tires/wheels.

You mainly pay for the privilege of NOT having that hideous Wildtrak interior
LOL. I'm also not a fan of the Wildtrack interior which is why I started looking at the Badlands and noticed this.

Something strange is going on with the pricing here. I wonder if the build function on the Canadian website is correct?

In the US, this is the breakdown, which makes a lot more sense...

Badlands:
Base: $42095
Sasq +$4090
Mid Pkg +$1495
2.7L Eng +$1895
Total = $49575

Wildtrack:
Base: $46980 (includes Sasq., Mid pkg, 2.7L)
Bumper/Bash +$1290
Total = $48270

So in the US, the difference between similarly equipped vehicles is only $1300 which makes sense for a sway bar disconnect and a couple of rock rails. That's a far cry from the $5K we have to pay.

It does that in the US as well. They pay $1300 more for a similarly equipped Badlands vs Wildtrack. We pay $5000 more.

Additionally, the Badlands comes with a steel rear bumper. The Wildtrak only upgrades the front bumper.

There's something going on with the US/CAD conversion on the Badlands vs Wildtrack in General...

USDCAD
Badlands4209553000 (26% adjustment)
Wildtrack4698056500 (20% adjustment)

Please note, the point of this thread is not to say the Badlands price difference is worth it or not. That's personal and there are a few features to justify the price difference.

The point I'm making is that Canadians are getting ripped off here on that difference. We are paying $5K for the same things that the US pays $1300 ($1600CAD) - where is that added $3400 going?
