All. This was a scam. I sent Venmo but was able to cancel in time. Lesson learned to always use PayPal purchase.

Venmo has purchase protection you can use just like PayPal. They are actually both owned by PayPal now. I purchased the soft top but the guy and story didn’t line up so as much as he tried to get me to pay unsecured ways I refused. The only reason I entertained it was his history on this forum. That being said I bet his account was hacked or he recently got into hard drugs. Another example for everyone to not be trusting and spend the few bucks to protect yourself.
What made you realize it was a scam?
