For those of you that tinted your 2 door base Bronco let's see you photos.

Base only because the back windows are clear and it would be interesting what different percentage tint looks like on these vehicles. 99% of the people who own the 4 door or not the base 2 door just end up getting 35% on front windows to match the rear windows.

Here's what I'm thinking (all ceramic tint Autobahn i3):

  • Air Ceramic 80% on windshield (my tint guy doesn't carry 70%)
  • 56% on two front windows (33% and lower really hinders your eyesight at night plus I've had 2 vehicles with 50% on two front windows and like it. Also I don't like the major difference between a 70%, 80% or even 50% windshield tint and 33% side window tint.)
  • 15% on the rear window by the tailgate (most SUVs have 20% on the most rear window and 5% would be too dark so I thought I would compromise on 15%)
  • The two rear windows on the top I am unsure about. I thought about getting 5% on them, that way it would make the 56% up front appear darker but would 5% make those windows look weird? My other options are: 15%, 22%, or 33% (not getting 56% on those windows because 50% is really light and see through.

I'd love to see some photos where the back two windows are 5% or 20% and the fronts 50%.

As a Base owner, I have to contemplate this soon myself. I may not tint the door windows at all.

I have a base on the way and I'm thinking about not tinting as well. I'm definitely not tinting the front drivers and passenger door, just not sure how I feel about the back. I honestly plan on having the roof off most of the spring/summer/fall, so why put money into tinting? IDK, we'll see.

I really don't get the whole tint numbers. That is if you count up or down on filtered light. I did notice a real change in comfort level when they got tinted. Tinted Base Bronco +1 over max. No problems driving at night.

15% 3M ceramic on front driver & passenger only, windshield and rears are all stock.

Ceramic tint - 35% up front and limo on back. Kept it Texas legal
I've never had the ceramic before, but it makes a big difference. It's a lot cooler inside than other cars I have had with regular tint.

Finally got my windows tinted.
Went with 35% ceramic on the two doors and 20% ceramic on the top and 20% strip on the windshield.
My tint guy said they pretty much don’t mess with you here in Cali, unless there a real dick!
Long as they can see you and that’s what I wanted anyway just basically to keep the heat out and still be able to see pretty good. I think it turned out great.!

(Oh, on another note, my tint guy called me up before he did the work and said that there was all kinds of scratches on the outside of the top windows, and that they would show if he went through with the tinting, so he wanted to ask me first…..that’s why I like this guy so much! ….it so it looks to me like whoever assembled the top was wearing jewelry, possibly a diamond ring?
has any of you else experienced that?
It’s just the top, not the doors or the windshield, so I’m sure it happened maybe from the assembly line?? …taking the top on and off? … or something to that effect?)
