Base Bronco with manual transmission issues

So browsing TikTok (it’s addicting, no judgment) and stumbled upon this vid with what looks to be from a dealer with a returned Bronco. In the vid the mechanic tries to shift into reverse but instead goes forward. Mechanic questions how it made it through QC.

Okay I know it’s not the point of the video but that 2.3L is idling at 1,400 rpm the whole time… why is it so rev happy??

Cold environment? Idk. When its <40° outside mine idles at 1200 until the oil temp reaches 80-100, then drops to 800rpm.
