The base 2/4 door models do NOT offer a trailer hitch receiver. With EITHER the 2.3 or 2.7, if you have an aftermarket hitch added, is it still capable of 3k towing? or when added at the factory do they add a trans cooler to give it the 3k? Sometimes vehicles have different tow capacities if installed at the factory vs aftermarket due to trans cooler. thanks! Bob

I was wondering the same thing- and will the hitch be available from Ford as an accessory? And what about wiring for a four flat connector? I wonder how long it will take Draw- Tite to make an aftermarket hitch and perhaps a plug in connector for a connector?

If we're talking transmission cooler, the dilemma between Basequatch and Black Diamond gets crystal clear.

At this time the tow package is only a Class II reciever and some wiring, possibly also a piece of the CPU unlocked to allow the sway control to work. Definitely no added cooling or the like.

There is a dealer option reciever that can be purchased after to give you 3500lb of towing - that is specified in the GVWR guide that was released earlier this year. See attached.
