Got the Bay Area Metal Fabrication recessed winch mount bumper all buttoned up late last night. We raised the winch, moved the solenoid from the top to bring it up. Hugged the front of the grille as tight as possible with the winch mounted in front of the frame. It's a total of 6.75" off the front of the frame rails.
The venting to allow air flow to the intercooler are 5052 aluminum and removable/customizeable. This bumper is built to beat. The winch plate and mounting is constructed out of .250" plate. All the outer shell is .188" thick. The tubes are 1.75" x.120 wall DOM The recovery points are in plain with the frame and laser cut from .750" Swiss SSAB plate tumbled for 16 hours to soften the edges and welded through the bumper for safe recoveries. This bumper is not made for the mall its about 80lbs to 90lbs without the winch height TBD.
Relocating the ACC sensor to above the winch will be required. Parking sensors locations will also be available for those that have it.

It seems to be the most sucked-in winch capable bumper we have seen. And I like the tubing on the ends, offers a unique look. I do question how well those vents are going to work with a winch right behind them and that is up against (or at least really close) to the intercooler.

Looks really nice and clean.

Interested to hear pricing and more detail about location of ACC and parking sensor relocation process as a member of team LUX.

Assume it’d be possible to order without yellow logo on front.

Thanks!

I saw that too. It appears to be held in place with an hex key bolt in front and vinyl lock nut in the back. Easily removeable (does leave 3 holes though). Unsure if this is final production version or more revisions are being made.

I checked out their site. Pricing isn't bad. At all.
I will definitely keep my ears peeled as they produce bumpers and sliders for these.

promising concept, but I'd like to see what they mean with relocating the ACC sensor to above the winch. To where? In front of the grill? That would look crappy.
But great to see people working on solutions! I bookmarked their site to check back. Prices seem pretty decent, not outlandish like some I've seen so far.

Also nice that they are local to me.

Ayup - rather not have to deal with holes and rust point - also rather subtle logos or even better yet - none at all!

Agreed - their sliders look good on other products. Would be nice to see them do a true frame mount. Looks like some good protection for cars in parking lot banging into your door.

thinking about this...
I wonder if a bigger opening behind the mesh, plus a wind channel/guide could move enough air over the intercooler to compensate for the restricted direct air flow dead center...
