I'm interested in some dispassionate opinions regarding this. I'm not really comparing apples to oranges here, more like oranges to tangerines.

2 door Black Diamond, 2.7L auto, mid package, roof rails, tow, mod top and Sasquatch.

vs.

2 door Badlands, 2.7L auto, roof rails, tow, High package and MIC top.

Comparing these two vehicles, the invoice price difference is $237.

You want our opinion on why Ford priced them this way?
Haha, no. Opinions on pros and cons of the different vehicle builds.

I am in your exact same situation, evaluating both of these options, except with the 4 door model and minus roof rails. Decided to wait until I could see both in person before moving forward with a choice.

More "functionality" via the BL. Slightly smaller appearance but most likely not really noticeable unless very attuned to it.

My build is a Badlands, 2.7, Squatch, high. Every other build with these options was so close in price I just didn't see the point in not spending a little more to go with something other than the Badlands.

I went through the same thought process and ended up with the BL. My thinking is I’m going to keep this a while and was willing to pay for more tech (high package). I can always upgrade to bigger wheels down the road.

I'd go Badlands.
You already get 33" tires stock (biggest stock tires) + no SAS means one less of the "deadly six" (less chance of a delay)
You get a 12" screen with the High Package
MIC top will get you the truck faster than the MOD top

Badlands. Same money, higher trim package, should retain value better, I prefer smaller tires.
Happen to agree.

Also @Rebel Bronc go back and watch all the MOAB and KoH videos: they hit the swaybar disconnect in every one to make the ride more "floaty" when going slower over uneven bumps on the trail.

Example (2.7 2 Door high like your build):

The biggest decision one has to make when ordering a bronco is SASQUATCH. This will make a profound change in how the vehicle looks. I suppose its much more of a difference if you compare SASQUATCH to steelies, but you get the point. For me, I really don't like the look of tires sticking out the sides, and the larger wheel flares on Sasquatch ruin the look, IMO. SO, for me its the 33's with the smaller standard flares.

Originally, I was 100% set on a BD. However, I need a 4 door and with the smaller tires, it just looks like it sits too low for me. Then I added the Sas package, but by that time, you are in the BL sticker range.

As 1 poster stated above, I like the cleaner look of the stock BL with the 33s with the slimmer flares. However, I am not that in to the BL orange interior accents, grill, and headlights.

I think the BD headlights and grill look more "early Bronco". I used to own a 1970 and it was my daily driver for 10 years. I also had a 1976 for a little while, so I really like that classic look of the BD grill and headlights.

The Bad Lands with an AUTO nets you 4.46:1 gears. Bad Lands with Manual gets the 4.7:1 gears. Black Diamond Sasquatch (auto) gets 4.7:1 gears.
Those 4.7:1 gears would be worth more then every penny. My 2 cents.

Also, Sway Bar disconnect is really cool and useful off-road. How often will you be hitting Moab and other trails to rock climb your Bronco? I off-road my Tundra alot, and it takes a toll on the body ;)
