Beadlock pops and breaks leg at SEMA

Speculation is that (steel) beadlock bolts were overtorqued and softened/sheared (aluminum rim) threads

EDIT: Looks like it might have been a Taco rather than Bronco...

Talk about really wanting red painted beadlock rims. Oof that must've hurt. Hope he'll be alright. Dang!!

Seems unlikely. Maybe to person filling the tires way overfilled them with something like a Power Tank to the point of failure.

Yeah it's in there like 500 bolts holding on a beadlock? So they all broke?

Based on that story I call BS! No way all the bolts failed at exactly the same point. If the bolts were pulling out the tire wouldn't hold air. Someone is looking for a payday.

If this is a Bronco, wouldn't those just be beauty rings? Unless they were swapped for the bead lock kit
