Kids in school, or married and out of the house (we have 4), means we have a day date. Absolutely gorgeous day, temp was mid 80's after being mid 90's for the past few weeks. Zero traffic on the trails, and none up top either. Followed by some great food at D&B's. Got the wife a little muddy on purpose, but that's part of it 🤷

Looks like a great time. I'll be there in a month. Tell me more about D&Bs?

Going to the new Off-Roadeo? D&B's is little mom and pop hotdog shop. Very good food, and prices. Kinda a throw back to how things were.

Thank you. I don't normally eat that stuff. But my friend on the other hand only subsists on such. So when we get together, I get my fill to last until the next time we meet.

Her and I are attending the Off-Roadeo on 10/10. We'll take in Smokies sights and then head to Windrock on the weekend. Then we'll circle back to Cherokee for more leaf peeping and sunsets on the BRP and GSMNP.

Sounds like a great time. You have a good route planned, and just about prime leave looking season, may be busy up there then. Townsend is especially great, hasn't been overtaken by corporations yet, and still pretty wide open. Some nice places to eat too, dropped a link to one we like. Kid and dog friendly. Also a nice whiskey distiller there as well.

We are going 10/14. Luckily, we live only 33 miles from the new Maryville location. Only 5 miles from D&B.

My buddy lives in Townsend, I visited both those places last week.
I have been to Peaceful Side before, love the pizza and tacos.

Also what trail were you on?
We had an event, Wheeling with Warn, and I was in our Bronco FLYING between all the trails to make sure the vehicles where moving through. I will have video soon, hopefully.

It was my first time there and I can't wait to get back out there.

Also, I was there when it was 90+ degrees and 90+ humidity. No clouds, and no winds... tearing down the Semi. It was hot!!

LOL

Just an easy ride, G1 to G9. Left immediately after bus got our youngest, had to be back in time to get him back off the bus.

Yeah, temps finally broke, next 7 days is about perfect. Should be good this weekend, but very busy.

Saw a new mountain bike trail that looked crazy. Huge jumps and ramps as you head up from the main store.

Nice I was on G8, G10, G1 getting from one location to another.
Some of the trails, I was onISH:

Walden Ridge (the Gatekeeper is pretty serious)
Trail 16 (sloppy and it was DRY)
Panther Rock
Top of Trail 21
Trail 26

We are headed up to the Rodeo on October 26th from the Daytona area . Should be Fun
Great find on the Mom and Pops food , that what I prefer to eat at vs a franchise . Usually Better food , better service .

Always an Awesome time at Windrock. I did trail 22 last year and that was very fun. My friend's Subaru Outback Wilderness did it and barely survived but did it. My question is how hard is it to clean the inside with carpet etc.? I have always wondered this. I never wheel my Badlands with the doors off because of cleaning but mostly because I am in FL and the heat/humidity while driving slow off-road is no bueno haha.

We also live in FL , the Liquid Sunshine State , and my Wife says it's a grip ton cooler with the doors off vs doors on . She does it quite a bit actually
