Behold the WILD BANKS / OUTER TRAK

When picking out and ordering my Bronco, I naturally wanted the Wildtrak. I ended up configuring my own version with an Outer Banks, 2.7 with the Sasquatch package.

I’m definitely not a fan of the digital camouflage cloth seats in the Wildtrak. My favorite Bronco interior is the roast cloth, an Outer Banks exclusive. The bronze and silver dash make the interior feel much more premium in my opinion. The roast/black color seats will age gracefully. I also love they are ribbed. It’s a nod to past Broncos and naturally a little more breathable for longer trips and warmer days.

I love the body colored door handles. Body colored mirror caps are another Outer Banks exclusive.

I modified the exterior to what I love about the Wildtrak today for $140!

I replaced the tailgate emblem with the OEM Ford part, gloss black for about $40. Super simple to remove and replace.

I removed the beauty rings and had them powder coated gloss black by my local industrial coating shop. $100 as they just add them in when doing a run of black coating. They turned out better than I expected. They look exactly like the factory finish and match the gloss black part of the wheel perfectly. I was debating on whether or not to purchase the Ford performance black rings. I’m glad I didn’t as this solution saved me roughly $600.

Everyone is adding the classic script Bronco fender emblems…..

Yeah, a couple years from now non-Bronco-owning people will be asking me "Where’d you get those cool Badlands fender badges.?" LOL.! I’m lucky to already own a classic Bronco fender badge…….with a classic Bronco stuck to it.!

I have considered blacking out the bronco emblem and beauty rings on my Badlands (although my beauty rings are kinda trashed after 3 trips to the off-road park). Definitely wouldn't consider that making it Bad-Trak or a Wild-Lands...

I mean blacked out just looks cool.

Whenever I actually plop down a reservation, this is exactly what I plan on doing. The OBX in leather roast is the best interior (although not a fan of the blue portions) and then just the black emblem and black beauty rings.....nice rig!

Smart man. I too loaded up my OBX in lieu of a WT, and the roast interior / dash was the primary reason since I paired it with AMB (midnight blue on saddle). Plus the classic grille and matching mirrors. WT is garbage lol. Good job doing the work to get the black bits back, which makes sense for the black/orange exterior look. Personally, I kept my beauty rings and chrome emblem because I was going for that classic color combo. If anything, I lucked out with the blue interior bits and AMB paint. Also, the Outer Banks logo almost looks custom since it has blue and white outlines to pull in the paint and the white BRONCO lettering on the grille and silver rings for whitish pops on a blue truck.

we did an outerbanks, then added the black tailgate emblem.
I also added a body color wildtrak grille

Trash other trims to make yourself feel better. Is it working?

Great build! I went with the OBX, SAS, and the roast leather interior, AND the silver beauty rings. The rings look good in black, but I like how the silver adds contrast. Yours is beautiful just the same.
