Just had the rear anti sway bar installed on my OB. Two Belltech U brackets are installed on brackets present on the Bronco, one U bracket is bolted to the bracket with the gas tank strap and is threaded. The other U bracket is to be bolted to bracket above control arm on drivers side, step #15. Belltech assumes that bracket is also threaded. On my truck there were no threads. Installer had to modify a flange nut and fit it to make the install work.

BTW, works great, far less body roll.

I ordered one from ebay but they ended up sending a front swaybar. Should have known the price was too good to be true. It's only 2mm thicker but it corners so much flatter in the tow/haul position and the steering wheel feel got a lot tighter. The rear bar is on order, hope the install goes smoothly. Might try switching the front bar to OEM+ and see how that feels. I don't really need a ton of suspension articulation for the type of driving I do.

That bracket was a little tough to install. Could barely fit a wrench in there. Needed a stubby wrench to finish it off but had to grind it a little to fit it in there. I'm gonna wait until the tank is closer to empty to do the rest of the install.

Do you lose ground clearance with this?

Did you guys set it to OEM+ or Sport?

So, am I correct in saying that this doesn't utilize the OEM sway bar brackets that are mounted to the frame?

I couldn't get it high enough on jackstands to install it. Maybe if I took off the exhaust but I didn't feel like doing that. I haven't got around to taking it to a shop with a lift to get it installed. I don't think you would lose ground clearance. I'm not sure how the OEM swaybar mounts, mine didn't come with one.

Continues to perform really well; plus Bilsteins B8 5100 have made a BIG difference
Glad to se this thread resurrected. I'm considering the Belltech. I also have Bilstein 5100s.

My goal is to improve off road articulation to keep all four on the ground as I'm non sasquatch and only have the rear locker and I seem to need it more than I should. What's your opinion of off road performance?

Installation: The bracket on each side is held on with just one bolt? Passenger side uses a fuel tank skid bolt location? One poster mentioned dropping the tank. Is that required or just removing the bolt?

The Belltech instructions seem to be missing photos of the passenger side, How does the bracket sandwich with the fuel tank skid?

Adding a rear sway bar will not increase your articulation, and only increase how often you lift a rear tire. A front sway bar disconnect or the rock jock front sway bar replacement is what you want.

May be semantics. What I want is to keep more (3 or 4) wheels in solid contact with the ground more often. I don't do too wild a trail anymore, but there have been a couple times when I engaged the rear locker I shouldn't of had to. (On Imogene in one spot a couple weeks ago, you know that one ;)). I didn't actually float a wheel but could feel cross corners getting light and spun out. My understanding from some on this forum and videos is a rear stabilizer will limit the articulation of the rear forcing the front to stay in contact.

Anyway for reasons of my own I want to stay with OEM front, though I would consider disco, if a good affordable one comes out. ...and I'm incredibly cheap so there's that, Belltech is at the very top of my budget.

Well let us know if it helps, I’m curious myself. It will be easy to go back to Imogene and try it out.
Edit: oh wait, lol maybe not this year though lol. Find a place you can easily do a before and after close to home maybe.

I gave it another try. This time I left the front wheels on the ground and used a different floor jack that went a little higher. I left the tires on and got it in from the drivers side after failing from the passenger side. I have the rear in the middle sport setting and the front on tow haul. I was going to change the front to the oem plus setting but I was feeling a little lazy. I might just leave it where it is, it feels pretty good. I just mall crawl mine so can't really say how bad it hurts articulation.
